The Hub, Barnard Castle - 26-29 May 2017
Harambee Pasadia is a 4-day family camping extravaganza in celebration of diverse cultures, foods, music, artists, and fusions of the African diaspora. We are committed to engage festival attendees through a wide range of arts, including live music, dance, and participatory workshops representing the diversity of styles and cultural influences found in our community. A weekend full of cultural and educational experiences for the whole family, which brings together local and international musicians, dancers, wellbeing experts, cultural practitioners, and food vendors to create an atmosphere that celebrates the African Diaspora in the North East.
Harambee Pasadia North East, is a unique all day and night celebration of music, food and fun for all the family. Harambee literally means "all pull together" in Swahili, its an event in which invitations are spread predominately by word of mouth, and Pasadia means to spend the whole day.
